Copy vio

edit

I think this might be a copy vio because of the quote "... to defeat a very smart house." I'm pretty sure that I've heard that actual line used by Disney. I might be wrong though -anabus_maximus (Talk to me) 23:16, 10 November 2006 (UTC) She is the best ever!Reply

smart houses

edit

uh... shouldn't there be an article about actual smart houses, not just a movie? shouldn't this be renamed smart houses(movie) and a new article be written about the integrated technology style of construction? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.160.252.223 (talk) 01:01, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Smart House (film)Smart House – Per WP:DIFFCAPS. This is the primary topic for "Smart House" (uppercase proper noun), as opposed to the lowercase smart house. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 09:02, 21 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment pageviews Note that Smart house is a redirect to Home automation whose only mainspace wikilinks are a hatnote from Smart House (film) and a use in the plot summary of I.T. (film). Smart House is a dab page not linked from anywhere in article space (so it should be a pretty accurate measure of how often readers are typing "Smart House" into the search bar). • Support per nom and above comment. The film is only topic using Smart House. Station1 (talk) 08:06, 22 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per primary topic/primary redirect reasoning. There's no reason to disambiguate this, when the only other competing claimant is a minor-phrase redirect to some other topic. The IoT sense isn't an encyclopedia topic itself, but a related term of one (i.e., one's smart house is the result of one's home automation, the latter of which is the properly encyclopedic scope). And the IoT sense is actually declining in currency, from what I can tell, because it sounds silly and is an eyeroll-worthy buzzword that's been spammed in early IoT marketing to the extent that it turns people off.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  18:27, 29 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
