Get Smart in Russian?!!
editIs it just me, or do the actor (Kanevsky) and actress (Lezhdeya) here bear a startlingly similar appearance to Don Adams and Barbara Feldon of Get Smart? --Eliyahu S Talk 11:48, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
Title
edit"Investigation Held by ZnaToKi" is a bit awkward of a title. I'm not a native Russian speaker and nowhere near conversant, but I can't help but think someone translated this title using Google and then accepted it as gospel, though I don't know which came first. The title doesn't even match up with the first sentence! I suspect that "The Investigation is Conducted by Experts" or "The Investigation is Carried Out by Experts" (or even "The Investigation is Led by Experts") is closer, but again, I don't speak Russian. It was moved without discussion (nor even an edit summary) in 2009, though when it was first created (a translation made by a native Russian speaker, though that doesn't mean machine translation wasn't used), a version of the current title was used in the first sentence.
I do know this much: Russian doesn't use articles like "the", which is why it may not be in a machine-translated title. Paris1127 (talk) 06:04, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Changed title to "Investigation Led by Experts", which is another listed title and less awkward. Paris1127 (talk) 01:49, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
