double?

edit

The article says the name of the drink is a double entendre. Can anyone explain in what sense? I must be missing something as it seems pretty single entendre to me. digfarenough (talk) 03:16, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind, found explanation in the history, but it still doesn't seem so double! digfarenough (talk) 03:23, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree, 100%. There is no "double" entendre. For there to be a "double" entendre, there would have to be a hidden meaning. There is no hidden meaning. "I would like A sex on the beach, please" i.e., order a single drink... is not a double entendre. If you were to ask for "some" sex on the beach, maybe... but that is not how a drink is ordered. A "Screaming Orgasm" is an example of a double entendre. And in either case, referring to it as "a deliberate sexual double entendre" is plain asinine, there is no other possible way that it could be anything other than deliberate, it's an effing DRINK NAME. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.99.20.163 (talk) 03:39, 29 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Origin sounds like rumor

No sources cited, and sounds like "this is what I heard, isn't that wild?" 76.23.212.191 (talk) 16:14, 31 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Euphemisms

edit

At least one chain restaurant calls this drink by a euphemism, namely "sand in my shorts." I can't recall which one and don't have any sources handy, but it feels like it should be included in the article. Karatorian (talk) 01:48, 5 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, I think a decently reliable source would be needed for that, on Wikipedia. And sources for things like this are hard to come by... Undead Shambles 🧟‍♀️ (talk) 06:05, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
