The article begins by saying that this is San Murcos' municipal air facility, but the history section ends by saying that the site was closed and converted into the Gary Job Corps. I assume, but do not know for a fact--which is why I don't correct the text myself--that the base was split into two units, one--the airfield--becoming the airport and the other becoming the Job Corps. Could someone confirm this and add the pertinent information, please? 165.91.64.233 (talk) 00:55, 10 December 2008 (UTC)RKHReply

Starting at the beginning of runway 8 and going northeast is what appears to be an old runway. Any clues to what it is? Also, in the history section, "Organized San Marcans fought to save the base," who are the San Marcans? Griffinofwales (talk) 16:18, 6 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
