bilderberg? why is there no mention

Also, what's the proper way (if any) to include his net worth? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Knile (talkcontribs) 18:55, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Edward and Robert

edit

What is the relationship between Edward Skidelsky and Robert (namely Lord) Skidelsky?

Apparently they co-write many papers and books. But are they relatives? WOuld be interesting to clarify this point in the article.Stanjourdan (talk) 12:51, 2 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • To give this some context: Numerous edits by Nangaf (talk · contribs), starting here, as well as the (unverified) Twitter account claiming to be Skidelsky's (preceding the tweet linked above), claim that he is no longer on the board of Russneft as of December 2021. This is supported by citing the House of Lords register of members' interests which says the interest ended on 1 January 2022. The tweet linked above mentions that this article "has not been updated" and announces an intention to "do this immediately" (presumably meaning "update it"). (Russneft's own website still lists him as a board member, though perhaps this too hasn't been updated – its copyright notice ends in 2017(!).) @Nangaf: would you care to comment on this situation? If you are Robert Skidelsky or editing on his behalf, please familiarise yourself with Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and disclose this fact in the interests of the encyclopedia's integrity. I'm not, but I did see the Twitter thread. Nangaf (talk) 02:12, 19 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I just reverted an abusive edit. There may be a case for a short period of protection for this page while the Twitter controversy is ongoing. Nangaf (talk) 02:22, 19 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure any protection is justified as there seems to be no edit warring going on here. But it might be helpful to establish whether or not Mr Skidelsky is permitted to edit this article, as it's pretty obvious that's what he intended to do yesterday. I think his position with regard to Russneft is now perfectly clear. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:02, 19 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
