Can anybody please add the sanskrit name of the ribhus

edit

It would be very kind if anybody could insert the sanskrit name of the ribhus for I can't write sanskrit. I think then the stub-marking of this article could be removed.--87.152.248.251 (talk) 20:29, 16 September 2012 (UTC) Did it myself, copied it from the german side. Also deleted the "stub-class", anybody disagree?--87.178.214.156 (talk) 22:44, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Ribhus represent the constellation Triangulum

edit

The Ribhus in the Rigveda (the hymns of which mostly refer to constellations and times long before the assumed dates of their composition) represent the constellation Triangulum. Some other examples are Indra = the constellation Hercules, Agni = the constellation Aries, Mitra = the constellation Delphinus, Varuna = the constellation Aquarius and so on. Besides the Brahmanas this clearly shows that the hymns in later times were used by the Brahmins for purposes, different from the original ones. 2003:F5:F710:CB00:103C:5F3C:619E:7160 (talk) 17:21, 16 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
