Transliteration of names

edit

Prince Maiteja of Silla was a true prince in the kingdom of Silla in the 3 Ancient Dynasties of Korea. Silla, along with Koguryo, and Paekche were all facts, not hoaxes. Maiteja was also the originator of Nagan Kims — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiklopedia32 (talkcontribs) 08:54, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

My apologies. I saw Silla there and thought, ah, Korean history, but none of the other names looked to be in the standard romanisation.--Shirt58 (talk) 08:58, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Well...
Prince Maiteja isn't very famous and nobody really knows about him.
Sorry, I am not keeping up with new romanizations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiklopedia32 (talkcontribs) 09:04, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
"Maiteja" doesn't look like a Korean name to me, tho. Can you give a source?--Shirt58 (talk) 09:19, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
"Mauitaeja" is Korean name. 'Ma' means Linen, and 'Ui' means clothes. 'Taeja' maens the prince. So, 'Mauitaeja' means that the prince is wearing clothes made of linen.
In my opinion, Prince Maui is the most accurate tranliteration.––Lee Geonju (talk) 10:25, 18 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
