I didn't invent the title of this article. Google it. In contrast, some violate wikipedia rules against original research and make up titles such as the 2013 southern California shootings. I try not to do that.Bamler2 (talk) 17:53, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

That's true, but I think it's obvious joking.--Makecat 06:19, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

It is not news but a serious political issue even getting an editorial in the WSJ.

It is also widely reported outside of China including the BBC, Bloomberg, MSN, CNN, etc. it is an ongoing event and scandal, not just a report for one day. Bamler2 (talk) 18:02, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is a significant incident that warrants an article, but the sensational title needs to be changed to a descriptive one. It's not widely known as "pork soup scandal". -Zanhe (talk) 01:45, 19 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
It's because Western media get high on sensationalized news. --2001:16B8:3116:1300:C9D4:291D:A5E3:9721 (talk) 13:11, 4 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

This incident does not require its own article at present - it is sufficiently covered by the Shanghai page. If you wish to add more detail to that page, please raise the issue on the talk page. The concise description there seems sufficient, and is well referenced. AnthonyW90 (talk) 13:03, 20 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

The 2013 part of the title should be deleted. That is original research. No source uses that name. Bamler2 (talk) 05:45, 28 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I translated most of the Chinese article over.
