edit200K seems like a lot. How did they end up there? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.27.215.103 (talk) 18:42, 6 June 2009 (UTC) Both territories were dutch colonies for hundreds of years. However, I agree that the numbers on a lot of these subsections should definately be cited more rigorously. Dan Carkner (talk) 20:26, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Numbers are very false
editThe numbers of overseas Indonesians per country as shown on this page is highly wrong. Over 3.000.000 Indonesians in the Netherlands with a population of 16.000.000? No way, that would be almost 20% of the population, while actually (according to official Dutch censuses) it is only ~2% or about 350.000 Indonesians. 2.700.000 Indonesians in Singapore (population 5.600.000)? Absolutely no way, that would be nearly 50% of the population while Singapore is actually 75% Chinese. Other numbers also seem unlikely like Taiwan. I don’t know where those numbers came from, but they seem very rigged and are highly misleading. Wolfgang Klomp (talk) 09:54, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
- My comment to the comments :"Other numbers also seem unlikely like Taiwan". According to news in Taiwan, statistics obtained from Ministry of Labor (Taiwan), total number of migrant workers from Indonesia as of 31 October 2021 was 240,628, which accounted for 35.35% of total foreigh migrant workers in Taiwan.[1] ThomasYehYeh (talk) 11:44, 24 May 2022 (UTC)

The numbers don't add up, can the writer or anybody help?
edit"As of 2021, there are about 9 million overseas Indonesians globally,[1] 5.3 million undocumented overseas Indonesian workers,[2] 4.7 million overseas Indonesian officially,[6] and 3.254 million overseas Indonesian legal workers.[7]". What are the relstionships of "undocumented overseas Indonesian workers","overseas Indonesian officially" and "overseas Indonesian legal workers" with "the 9 million overseas Indonesians globally", the references are in Indonesian, I couldn't understand them, either. I tried to translate this article into traditional Chinese, I think I stumbled upon an obstacle from the right beginning. Your kind attention will be appreciated.ThomasYehYeh (talk) 08:50, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
Can we have citations to support the wordings: "Most of them are in Japan for a short term and deportation remains high for Indonesian residents."?
editThe translation of this article into traditional Chinese is about to be finished today. Your kind attention will be appreciated.ThomasYehYeh (talk) 11:34, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
