Untitled edit

What was the second half of the operation, the half that failed? Was it to take the tel-aviv area or reach Jerusalem? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Greenpixie (talkcontribs) 00:54, 29 May 2006.

External links edit

I have restored the two following links:

There is no reason why only Israeli and US Zionist sources should be given.

If you think there is any reason that these links should be removed, please give your reasons and don't remove them before this issue is resolved (see also the discussions on Moshe_Sharett and David_Ben-Gurion). —Babelfisch 07:56, 3 November 2006 (UTC) If you think there is any reason that these links should be removed, please give your reasons and don't remove them before this issue is resolved. —Babelfisch 07:56, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

As I have explained on many pages already, these are personal websites filled with Original research and propaganda. They should not be included under WP:EL. The issue is not the politics of the sites, but the quality. Until you can explain who runs those websites, and in what way they are not personal website, please do not restore them again, and please stop Wikistalking and reverting me. I disagree with you, I'm not harressing you.
These sites don't violate any Wikipedia policies. —Babelfisch 07:29, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
You keep repeating yourself, but you haven't refuted my arguments, nor have you been able to provide any information about exactly who is running those personal websites/blogs. Jayjg (talk) 17:30, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Local militia attackes? edit

I have never heard this before, and I've read quite a bit on the subject. Please provide references that show the expulsion was not pre-meditated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.189.164.86 (talk) 04:29, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Exodus from Lydda edit

Someone has posted a tag on that article saying it should be merged into this one, and that it should be discussed here. I oppose the merge proposal, in part because Operation Danny was about more than just Lydda and Ramla; and in part because the expulsions from those cities is an issue in its own right. SlimVirgin talk|contribs 20:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Most certainly oppose the merge. Exodus from Lydda deserves to be in its own article, especially considering the large size it has reached now. --Sherif9282 15:42, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
I oppose the merge for exactly the reasons above.Padres Hana (talk) 18:28, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Map edit

I take care of this. Ceedjee (talk) 06:39, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why there is no casaulties conclusion of the operation?? edit

In the Hebrew sources it's stated 179 dead in the Israeli side and 470 dead in the Arab side. IdanST-EDITOR (talk) 14:36, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Casualties edit

I’m wondering why the list of casualties only includes those of the Palmach. Balance is needed. Aviblack (talk) 06:18, 14 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Whitewashed edit

This article is whitewashed.

For example, the only mention of the 1948 Palestinian expulsion from Lydda and Ramle is:

"Two days after the capture of Lydda and Ramle only a few hundred of the 50,000 to 70,000 residents remained in the two towns."

Go for it. Zerotalk 00:15, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think it's easier said than done unfortunately.
See for example this recent edit I made at Yigal Allon (Special:MobileDiff/1196107793), which added to the lead:

During the 1948 Palestine war, Yigal Allon was a leading perpetrator of the Nakba.

I selfreverted that edit as it seemed too drastic and POV, and I didn't have any RSs to support my wordchoice of "perpetrator".
Could I ask your opinion on if I was right to selfrevert that edit?, or if you have any advice on how to begin unwhitewashing these articles?

Do you think adding an NPOV tag to this article or to the Yigal Allon article would be appropriate? @Zero0000

Yes, but tags don't do much. Zerotalk 03:42, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
