Created new article

I've created a new article on this book about censorship and freedom of speech.

It's still a work in progress at this point, quite in the middle of ongoing research for additional secondary sources.

Quality improvement project

I'm in the middle of a quality improvement project for this newly created page.

  1. Still in the midst of researching additional potential secondary sources for Background, Content summary, and Reception sections.
  2. Once that's done, then I'll expand the lede/intro sect to be a standalone functional summary of the entire article's contents, per WP:LEAD.
  3. At that point, the article will be ready for additional stages of further quality improvement.

This article had a GA Review and was successfully reviewed and promoted to WP:GA quality. Review is at Talk:Not in Front of the Children: "Indecency," Censorship, and the Innocence of Youth/GA1. — Cirt (talk) 11:10, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Note to self: Check status of links at Checklinks. — Cirt (talk) 15:24, 7 November 2014 (UTC)

Did all the External links sect, and one that was 404, now looks like about 14 more to go. — Cirt (talk) 15:53, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
  Done. — Cirt (talk) 20:14, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

Please keep at full subtitle for location of this page

Please keep at full subtitle for location of this page.

This is needed for disambiguation purposes.

Not in Front of the Children (book) will not work, as there are multiple other books that start with the same title beginning of Not in Front of the Children.

Please, don't move this page unilaterally if you disagree with above, but discuss here on the talk page, first.

Thank you,

Good source for Content summary

I think the Content summary sect is complete, but if we need another source in the future, this one is excellent for further info:

  • Grant, Deborah (January 2003). "Book Reviews - Not in Front of the Children: 'Indecency,' Censorship, and the Innocence of Youth/Harmful to Minors: The Perils of Protecting Children from Sex". Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy. 29 (1): 79–83. ISSN 0092-623X – via EBSCO's Academic Search Complete. {{cite journal}}: |access-date= requires |url= (help); External link in |via= (help); Unknown parameter |subscription= ignored (|url-access= suggested) (help)

Subtitle

Any reason why the subtitle isn't chopped off (per the subtitle naming convention)? czar 04:19, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

The shorter version already redirected to the longer title, so I boldly prioritized the shorter version as the common name. Still, if someone finds the TV show or other media to be the primary topic for this short name, the proper disambiguator would be "(book)" rather than the subtitle.   czar 04:26, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
I'd rather not have lots of page moves in the future, Czar, so hopefully there won't be more moves, and it can remain at this page location. — Cirt (talk) 04:31, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
REALLY confused as to why this was done with zero prior attempt at discussion... — Cirt (talk) 04:36, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Hey Cirt, you've written lots of book articles before, so I don't know why this would need discussion. The book is commonly named in the sources without adding the subtitle every time. I don't see a peer review started so I don't know why that would factor in. What part of the move do you feel needs discussion? And are you contesting it or do you want it at the other longer title for some other reason? This seems uncontroversial, especially as you already had the shorter, official name redirecting to the longer, official one. czar 04:41, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Hey Czar, there was a peer review at the other title, but you've broken it. It would have been uncontroversial to have discussion, first. That's all. — Cirt (talk) 04:45, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Czar, I actually agree with the page move. Just would have wanted to discuss it first. And it was a bit disruptive in the middle of a peer review I'd started. Prior discuss is a good thing. Especially when you see there is indeed someone to talk about it with, who is ready to respond. :) — Cirt (talk) 04:51, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Apologies for the disruption, then. I think this is resolved.   czar 04:52, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Thank you, Czar, much appreciated !!! — Cirt (talk) 04:53, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Not in Front of the Children - at Peer Review

I've requested Peer Review for Not in Front of the Children.
