Article is contradictory

edit

The article states that "Andrew Cuomo...has not yet either announced that he will run or declined to run," but then later claims that "Cuomo has stated he is not running for governor, is backing Paterson, and is planning to run for reelection for attorney general;" Which is it folks?

Nobody knows. Paterson may not even be governor next week, and it could be that Cuomo won't run, leaving everything up in the air until the State Convention in May. As of now, NO ONE is running for the Democratic nomination for Governor 67.247.1.107 (talk) 14:22, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Add John Fasso As an Official Candidate

edit

John Fasso (spelling) has announced his candidacy, please put that on there. I read it in the New York Post yesterday.

This article is absolutely useless.

We gotta start somewhere. The GOP is a mess. i heard that the former madam[cf client n0 9]kirstin davis was running. if correct why no mention

Picture of Paladino is NPOV... :)

edit

He looks like a corpse. The picture has been obviously desaturated or exposed incorrectly in the first place. Next to it is a vibrant lively picture of Cuomo. I am going to change the picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.195.58.169 (talk) 17:28, 15 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

He always looks like a corpse. Or Emperor Palpatine. Or the current Pope. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.196.0.50 (talk) 22:51, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's the best non-copyrighted pic we've got, and it's better than nothing. If a better one comes along, we can use it. --Muboshgu (talk) 16:57, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Under the Polling section, non-primary candidates should be represented

edit

The continuing practice to regard this race as a two-way contest, with some noise around the edge is disrespectful to the entire democratic process.

Once any poll includes a third party candidate by name, the entire table should reflect their results visually. In fact, the table should have been designed to show all candidates from the start. Additionally polling agencies should be directed to clarify all "Other" responses by the candidate name. What does an Other response of 6% mean? What about one of 10%? Are the Undecided truly undecided, or did the polling agency simply mark all non-primary responses as such? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.77.203.117 (talk) 15:04, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes they should, but we do not live in a democratic utopia. Further, Wikipedia just reports the polls; it doesnt give orders or an agenda. And in the end, look at the results. Few people vote for third party behind the curtain.--Metallurgist (talk) 03:26, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

WTF

edit

This article has a hundred polls listed but doesn't show that actual results of either the primary or the general election!? Wasted Time R (talk) 01:50, 12 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I was wondering the same thing actually. Where are the results? The SoS appears to have not reported them yet.--Metallurgist (talk) 21:55, 14 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
