Clarifying name edit

As indicated at the bottom of the article, as well as in the Constitution and on the parliamentary website, the name of Parliament is "National Parliament of Solomon Islands", with no definite article. (This is due to the fact that the country's official name is "Solomon Islands", again with no definite article.) Aridd (talk) 10:02, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

National Parliament of Solomon IslandsNational Parliament of the Solomon Islands – First off, I know that the official name of this body is "National Parliament of Solomon Islands", without the "the". I think that is an uncontroversial point. We know that we generally use the common name as opposed to the official name. It's nice when they are the same. The common name here might include the "the". I've done some google searches on this, but I keep getting widely divergent results when I repeat the searches—so I'm not sure about this, but I wanted to throw it out there for discussion at least and for others to consider the results that they get. --Relisted.
