This is my first ever big(-ish) article - I don't know much more about this line, I just noticed it was unusually missing from the list! Please add as much as you can about the history/development/franchises/stations etc etc...

Hopefully now it's off the ground, it'll soon get up to the standard of the other railway articles on WP. Aquilina 18:42, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

PS: don't forget to mention Wigan wherever you can. We all know it's only a small, unimportant, town, but it wears a big cap! Don't forget this ..... All railway lines go 'from' Wigan. Even the West Coast Main Line was built for Wigan's benefit and goes 'from' Wigan to London, one way, and 'from' Wigan to Glasgow, the other way. Well, according to the Wiganers that's all true and, at least, it keeps 'em happy! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.34.33.12 (talk) 20:25, 15 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Salford

edit

Hey, I would change the Salford Central/Crescent information. Salford Crescent is actually the main stop for the University of Salford, and is found on their main campus. Salford Crescent is also closer to Salford "city centre" (if you can call it that), while Salford Central is mere yards from being in Manchester city centre.lofichic 21:38 27 January 2007 GMT

Have made the change you talked about, the Salford Crescent Station actually has the additional title 'And University of Salford' on its' sign - PK —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.48.235.6 (talk) 00:11, 8 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Whatever you do, don't say Salford is Manchester. You'll have Paul Massey sending the boys round! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.34.33.12 (talk) 20:27, 15 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
