Talk:List of townlands of County Kilkenny

Sections

edit

This probably should be divided into sections based on the Poor Law Union division. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:52, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for making this into a wikitable I wasnt sure how to do it and as for spliting how about by barony as the Poor Law Union does not seem to be used much today. Ω ENGLISH LOCK Ω —Preceding undated comment was added at 13:24, 30 December 2008 (UTC).Reply
Yeah, that might be better. If you section it, take the county column out and take out whatever column you use for sections, e.g. take out the Barony column if you divide it into one section per barony. This will make the article much smaller wiki-code-wise and much easier to edit. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 15:39, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

On Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ireland#Lists of townlands, I suggested that this article either be reproduced for other counties or deleted altogether, pending discussion by editors more familiar with Ireland than me. Having only one such article makes me wonder "why, is it too unencyclopedic to copy the idea?" and "Should I prod this?" I plead ignorance on the encyclopedic value of this type of article, so I'm appealing to those who know more than me. Please reply at the link provided, not here. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 15:44, 30 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
