Categorisation

[...] List of modern Eastern religions writers lists Theraveda in its own category rahter than under India despite the above Indian Theravada Buddhists. [...] I could also find a problem with the all Vajrayana is Tibetan assumption as well due to Newar Buddhism and Shingon Buddhism as well as the recent True Buddha School. 70.194.71.93 (talk) 20:29, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- I've given Theravada a separate section, because it's not restricted to india, but also exists in countries where it is the dominant religion. As for cajrayana, I've changed the header. Greetings, Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 10:50, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
- Otherwise, we could also categorize per religion, and then per school/"denomination" and/or country: Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 10:56, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
Citations and subarticles
editFirst, editors should please remember that every entry in a list of people requires a citation to support its inclusion in the list. We do not rely on the linked articles for this.
Second, there are already articles such as List of writers on Buddhism. This article should not duplicate that information, but rather simply link to it. Information not included in that article should be moved to it, and this article should mostly be links to List of writers on Buddhism, List of writers on Hinduism, List of writers on Jainism, and List of writers on Sikhism. - Hi Yworo, thanks for the idea! Greetings, Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 11:24, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
Split
editGood idea. Could you create a disambiguation-page? As far as I can see, I'm missing some essential information on the required templates/wiki-codes for such a page. Or would the present page suffice, when the suggested pages are created? Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 11:26, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
- The idea here would be to move the related material to the new individual list articles. This would not really be made into a disambiguation page, because there is no reason to duplicate all the introductory text into four articles. Rather this becomes a parent "list of lists" page with introductory material which can then be linked to from the sub-articles. Yworo (talk) 11:31, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

List of modern Eastern religions writers → List of modern writers on Eastern religions – Current name is ambiguous and also seems ungainly. 195.147.30.12 (talk) 09:17, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- Support as per List of writers on Buddhism, List of writers on Hinduism, List of writers on Jainism and List of writers on Sikhism. GregKaye 19:34, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
