Does anyone have any sources to verify Cliff Malone is the nephew of Joe Malone (ice hockey) Ive found this link;[1], I also have this link; [2] it would seem that that they are referring to the same Cliff malone as he played for the Montreal Royals in the second link posted and the internet database with cliff malone indicated that that cliff also played for the royals. Is this too much original research to include in the article? Any ideas, Thanks Ottawa4ever (talk) 18:27, 9 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I didn't bold them, but how should we do with Darryl Sutter and Dean Lombardi who have now won the Cup with the Kings, although not as players.BleuDXXXIV (talk) 02:56, 12 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
It should follow, then, that the Steve-Nick and David-Joe relationships should be listed under the "Uncle-Nephews" section. (This is consistent too with their eliteprospects profile that lists David as Joe's uncle, and Steve as Nick's uncle, for what that's worth.)
Steve-Nick and David-Joe are not first cousins once removed. Steve-Joe and David-Nick would be first cousins once removed, however I never included those relationships as I worried it may be superfluous. -Uncleben85 (talk) 08:25, 18 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

From what I can tell, this is one of the most comprehensive NHL family relation maps in existence. Despite the quibbles in previous Talk, I like how it's comprehensive and contained within one massive entry.
HOWEVER, historical context is lacking and seems easily remedied. What if we added "Years" to somehow show the years played (past or active) between relatives. Any suggestions as to how we could implement this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Splitpenny2001 (talk • contribs) 02:01, 19 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
