Long standing ovation?

Years ago, I saw a super-long standing ovation when Jackson exploded from a trap door onto a stage. He wore sunglasses and his metal/gold outfit. After a few minutes, some girl rushed onstage and hugged Michael. Does anyone know the date, location or tour this happened? I think it might have occurred in the Eastern Bloc, or somewhere in Europe. A video link would be awesome. 202.172.126.182 (talk) 01:19, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

What you describe is the introduction to the Dangerous Tour from 1992-93, and is how Michael enters the stage, prior to Jam. It is known as the "toaster" effect. Unless I'm corrected, what you are referring to as the girl hugging him was part of the performance of She's out of My Life, where one lucky girl was picked to be on stage with Michael. Unless a girl jumped over the security fence, etc.

Tour maps

This is more suited for the individual tour pages, but since it would be useful to apply to ALL of them I thought I'd put it here. Some bands have tours mapped out on a cool map like Aerosmith World Tour 2007 and Kiss Alive/35 World Tour. Normally these maps are used on political pages, but I thought it looked cool when I saw it done for tours. I don't know HOW to do one of these. Nor do I know where to ask. So I thought I'd put on here that someone should do it for the MJ tours. Not the North-America-only ones, that'd be a bit silly - for that perhaps just a map showing the states visited or something. But for the world tours it'd be nice. Anyone able to help? (The Elfoid (talk) 19:38, 15 January 2009 (UTC))

Proposed move

Surely "List of Tours by Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5/The Jacksons" is correct? Those were not "Michael Jackson Tours".(The Elfoid (talk) 23:04, 17 January 2009 (UTC))

I was quite surprised to see these combined in this way. I've never seen it before. Look at List of George Michael live performances or Paul McCartney's concert tours or even Ronan Keeting... None of them attempt to combine the very different group and solo tours. What has the Jackson 5 tours got to do with Michael as a solo artist? Added to this, it seems most of the content was deleted at 22:08 on 26 September 2009... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.141.22.105 (talk) 00:32, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Question

In the notes section for This Is It concert series it said: The longest residency held for any artist at any one time in one particular arena/stadium. Is this correct, I tought Celine Dion have performed in the same venue over 700 times in Las Vegas. Frcm1988 (talk) 20:57, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

MJ and Friends

Does anyone have any collective knowledge of the two benefit concerts (Michael Jackson and Friends) that Jackson had in 1999? I know they featured such people like Luther Vandross and Mariah Carey, and they were held in Seoul and Munich. MaJic Talk 2 Me. I'll Listen. 21:49, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
