Talk:List of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door characters

Untitled edit

"It is worth noting that Koops is the first Koopa in the series to wear a shirt"... I assume this means the Paper Mario series, because in Super Mario World, the Koopas wore undershirts. --Geopgeop 22:52, 17 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Koopas wore undershirts in the first Paper Mario too, when Fuzzies stole their shells. The statement about Koops is likely about wearing a shirt outside of the shell. Agent CH 16:47, 2 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hooktail edit

Is it possible that Hooktail faked her own death in a last-ditch effort to escape Mario? When you return to her chamber in Hooktail Castle (at least on Ms. Mowz's trouble), her body is absent. There is no way Ms. Mowz, or anybody in the area for that matter, would have been able to pull her body out of the castle and take it away. Since she is so tricky, she might have pretended to die, then flown away and gone into hiding when nobody was around. If so, and if she finds out what Mario did to Gloomtail, she might seek revenge...

This speculation is not suitable for the article, but if you post it on an outside site, we can link to it, the same way we link to http://www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com/.
I don't think so. After you defeat Gloomtail and Bonetail, their bodies disappear too if you simply exit the screen and come back (with Bonetail, you need to go down the pit again, which is actually pretty fun because of the rare badges you can steal with Ms. Mowz from the enemies). It is something I've always wondered, but then again, when you knock out Bowser in the Palace of Shadow, he disappears as well from the rest of the entire game.--҈Đǣţĥ ɱøťőŕ 23:57, 5 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
If you talk to Goombella in the room, she asks Mario where Hooktail went. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.101.145.224 (talk) 01:05, 15 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Dragon Genders edit

Here's a better speculation- What are the genders of Hooktail, Gloomtail, and Bonetail? I'm 99% sure Hooktail is a girl, because Gloomtail specifically refers to her as his/her little sister...

Yes Hooktail is a girl, Gloomtail confirms it. Hooktail is a girl, Gloomtail is a guy, and so is Bonetail.

I edited the part about Bonetail's gender being unknown, and put he in all of the places where it said it.

Split edit

At 74KB and a TOC over a screen long, I think this article is getting too long. On the other hand, I'm not sure all this information is encyclopedic; some of it may just need to be moved to the Nintendo Wikia. NeonMerlin 18:04, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think a split would degenerate hopelessly into fancruft. Phil Sandifer 21:51, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
I agree but NeonMerlin has a point though that this article is cumbersomely long. Cat-five - talk 17:23, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
WP:SIZE allows Lists to be bigger than normal and the only reason it's so big is because RPG's usually have more characters than other types of games. It also makes it easier for people looking for info on the characters if they were on one page. TJ Spyke 03:56, 19 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Makes my computer groan with pain though =(. I agree with NeonMerlin, this article is getting WAY too long.--҈Đǣţĥ ɱøťőŕ 23:58, 5 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Too dang long. Time for a split. Metakraid 23:55, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Journal edit

In the article it mentions that Mario is the one writing everything in the journal, but i'm pretty sure Goombella is writing it. The entries sound like they are from her, and i'm pretty there are other references that make it clear she's writing. I will check my game later to make sure. Note edit

Could someone takeout the note about the badges? It doesent belong here.

Additional Pictures edit

Some of the character profiles (such as Lord Crump and Kammy Koopa) are without pictures of their characters, can someone put pictures in for them?Unknown Dragon 17:03, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Large Space edit

There's a large space between Proffesor Frankly's name and the rest of the info about him. I can't figure out how to fix it. Could someone do this? It's slightly annoying. Lordofallkobuns 09:36, 6 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

This is because the picture of Princess Peach is there.--҈Đǣţĥ ɱøťőŕ 19:28, 6 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'll fix it. In the future, you can just use {{-}}. –Llama man 19:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shadow Queen & Vivian Merge edit

Is there any reason why these two pages shouldn't be in this article? -- Scorpion 16:48, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Character Pages edit

Why did all the seperate pages on the partners get removed? The information in the other articles were (if I recall correctly) more detailed. I'd just like to know. Neobinary 01:27, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cortez? edit

It looks like somebody forgot to put in a section for Cortez, even though he's pretty major... 144.124.16.33 14:28, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Improvement edit

I would like to suggest that this article be deleted and split into seperate articles for each character. [[User:Ganondorf555|Ganondorf555 1:34, 24 March 2007

A lot of them are too minor to have individual articles. 144.124.16.33 14:28, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Flurrie edit

What is she? Is she a partner that ISN'T a member of a species already established in Mario games? If so, that's both significant and bizarre. Well I guess Vivian isn't either but at least they establish her species as 'shadow siren.' —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.72.21.221 (talk) 22:52, 29 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

The closest I can think of is a VERY mutated ruff puff. Crowstar 21:48, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Diva edit

I personally think this article should be removed as: 1) Diva isn't important in the game, and 2) It's basically speculating about who she is. Crowstar 12:41, 13 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Shadow sirens.jpg edit

Image:Shadow sirens.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:49, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The boss list is incomplete edit

It should be noted that Bonetail can be defeated before you can defeat the Shadow Queen. Also, the game had more bosses than just those.

Vandalism of Flurrie's section edit

Some one has put Koops as BraveKoops on there, and is referring to Flurrie as Sunshine. Whoever is doing this, please stop. Also says that one of the Cute Pie had the necklace. --Ridley76 16:45, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Where do the references go? edit

I added mention that Ms. Mowz was not needed to beat the game and I have the source. Unfortunately, I don't know where on the page to cite it. Savie Kumara 05:56, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

How did they beat the Iron Adonis Twins? edit

Since the Iron Clefts' defenses are infinite, how did Rawk Hawk and the rest of the fighters higher in rank than them win? Even if the Iron Adonis Twins came AFTER them, they still would not be able to win.--Ridley76 04:28, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Woops edit

I accidently pressed the save button w/o giving a reason, so I'll state it here.

This article was nomiated for deletion before but was kept. Your just deleteing it w/o even giving a litttle disscussion. I think you being too bold here. And the mischief makers characters list can be deleted, but this one can't. Your being vauge that the topic is too minor. Your gonna have to give a better reason as to why its minor. A keep in an AfD doesn't mean that an article cannot be merged or redirected afterwards. I have mentioned it elsewhere, and seeing as nobody will respond here, that is fine. Plus, that close to a year ago, so it's fairly outdated. TTN 17:23, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
