Talk:Continental conservatism

Correct title?

This sort of scope could cover certain Austrian and Polish organisations which are not Latin. Is this the right title? I think maybe a merge with Political Catholicism could be more useful? Though this perhaps overlooks specifically monarchist groups.- Yorkshirian (talk) 03:53, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

I think the term "Latin conservatism" is to be understood fairly broadly. (I.e. as a movement which originated in the Latin world, but which then "emigrated" elsewhere, particularly to other areas with sizeable Catholic populations, such as Germany and Poland.) I do have one question about the title, though: shouldn't it be "Latin conservatism" (lowercase c) rather than "Latin Conservatism"? I see no reason why "Conservatism" should be capitalized, particularly when this is not done in any of the other articles on subcultures within the conservative movement. I have moved it, "continental conservatism" is far more accurate. Continental conservatism was not isolated to the Latin world - including Roman Catholic societies, continental conservatism influenced Tsarist Russia - an Orthodox Christian country and Prussia that was Protestant.--R-41 (talk) 17:05, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
