Who the hell cares what Jimmy Carter said about the yelling incident? You Wiki people take things too far now. Everything is so detailed and drawn out that your articles are not even useful anymore.
- This is a good point. Carter's comments on Wilson's outburst really don't belong, or Bill Cosby's, either. Though the text is very well sourced. I'm copying it here so its saved.
Former President Jimmy Carter said that the outburst was "based on racism ... [t]here is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president",[1][2][3] and characterized Wilson's act as "dastardly".[4][5] This view was echoed by entertainer and educator Bill Cosby.[6][7] However, others disagreed, including Maryland representative Donna Edwards, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.[8][9] Alan Wilson, the Attorney General of South Carolina, said: "There is not a racist bone in my dad's body. He doesn't even laugh at distasteful jokes."[5] White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, when asked about Carter's comments, stated that President Barack Obama "does not believe that criticism comes based on the color of his skin."[10][11][12]

Wrong vote totals listed in South Carolina's 2nd congressional district results table edit
In the table that lists the results of South Carolina's 2nd congressional district, there's an issue with the 2010 results, at least compared to South Carolina's 2010 returns on the South Carolina Election Commission website.
The tables currently states this:
Joe Wilson Republican 138,755 53% Rob Miller Democrat 113,354 44% Eddie McCain Libertarian 4,212 2% Marc Beaman Constitution 2,856 1%
According to the results on South Carolina Election Commission's returns, these numbers are slightly off.
Joe Wilson got 138,861 total votes, Rob Miller recieved 113,625, and Libertarian Eddie McCain got 4,228 votes. The vote total for Marc Beaman is correct.
This information can be access via this source - https://scvotes.gov/elections-statistics/election-results/ - under the 2010 General election results (page 3). I've not checked any other numbers save this specific year and district.
I apologize for pointing out what may be a small thing, but I've no experience in editing, and didn't want to make some mistake which screwed up the page or formatting in some way. MikeyX58 (talk) 08:16, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
