Expansion?
editThe expansion section could use some cleanup. Is the expansion mentioned in the first paragraph ongoing, or is the one in the second paragraph what is actually being constructed, or both? It's quite confusing. --Jds2001 (talk) 19:38, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Confusing excerpt
edit"The rail yard site was originally proposed by the local community because of their concern about the major office and residential development project that would accompany the convention center" Sounds more like a reason they would oppose it. Was this maybe a typo, or is it missing something?SecretName101 (talk) 19:30, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
Image removals/possible COI
editJavitscenter (talk · contribs) is removing all images to this page and replacing with their own images. This has occurred three times. This diff suggests they have a conflict of interest, with the summary Changed all images (These image were requested to be put on page by Javits Center.))
. This may also border on page ownership, because the user is removing all other users' images and including only their own. The images are on Wikimedia Commons, so I don't see the need to host them all here. Epic Genius (talk) 23:34, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

Jacob K. Javits Convention Center → Javits Center – "Javits Center" is the more popular name for this place. Google has 450k+ results for "Javits Center" compared to 366k for the full name "Jacob K. Javits Convention Center." Also, the official website uses simply "Javits Center" in its header and marketing materials, indicating self-identity with the simpler name.
As another example, the article about the major convention center in San Francisco is Moscone Center rather than the more formal "George R. Moscone Convention Center." Arbor to SJ (talk) 19:36, 9 April 2018 (UTC)

NYC hotel room fee
editNYC hotel rooms have a $1.50 per night “Javits Centre fee” added... yet zero comments about it anywhere in the article? (eg. see https://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/07/business/07taxes.html ) --Jimthing (talk) 21:00, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
