Merge
editI've merged George Zoëga into this article; a merge tag had been sitting at the top of the article for more than six months. I merged that article to this page simply because this one was much more substantial. I don't know or care what the article on him should be titled, but I just wanted to get it done, so as not to have two articles on the same man. For what it's worth, histories of Egyptology always seem to call him "Georg Zoëga", usually, I think, with the diaeresis in his surname. A. Parrot (talk) 01:28, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
Name.
editThe name for the article should not be jörgen. This page should be moved to jørgen zoëga, and a redirect link made. Schwiiz (talk) 16:23, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
- From a quick search it looks like the most common variant of his name is Georg Zoëga, which is also the title of the article in Danish (da:Georg Zoëga). I've moved this page accordingly. I'm not sure how to cover the various spellings of his name in the text itself, though. – Joe (talk) 20:07, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
