There are some destinations missing in Turkish Airlines

edit

This has to be added in the Turkish Airlines destinations under Terminal 2: Dnipropetrovsk, Najaf, Nakhchivan, and Ufa. Since the page is protected, i can't add them and make sure they don't get removed. Excluding destinations from an international airport article ruins the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.89.35.142 (talk) 00:58, 2 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Turkish Airlines and Najaf

edit

Can you please tell whoever keeps removing Najaf under Turkish Airlines to quit it because Najaf is a Turkish Airlines destination. It is in Al Najaf International Airport and in Turkish Airlines destinations.72.89.35.142 (talk) 23:38, 15 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is the last edit that removed Najaf. It should be included, as the city appears as a current destination in TK's timetable.--Jetstreamer Talk 00:06, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Turkish Airlines and Mosul

edit

I also see that Mosul keeps getting removed when it should not be. Mosul is a Turkish Airlines destination and I even checked the Turkish Airlines site.72.89.35.142 (talk) 01:27, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Use after 3rd airport opens?

edit

I am a native English speaker but I have no idea what they mean when they say it will become a "boutique airport" (an airport for private jets?). Perhaps it is mistranslated from Turkish. Anyway if anyone has any idea of its future use please can you write a section. Jzlcdh (talk) 11:49, 30 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

More info here - can a Turkish speaking editor please update? TGCP (talk) 23:26, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Why would we write the info on the 3rd airport here? It has to have its own article. All the same I will translate the basic data. --E4024 (talk) 23:38, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I thought it contained info about how to use it next, such as shopping and conference as said by the prime minister http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/5601068/ (forum, not a reliable source - proper quote needed). I agree, Third Airport should have its own article, but until a name is given we could use the district instead - is it Çatalca or Gaziosmanpaşa ? Perhaps both? No longer Silivri, though. Teşekkür ederim, thank you for translating. TGCP (talk) 16:44, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
The concerned Government Minister has just announced what the future of Atatürk Airport will be and I added it to the article. --E4024 (talk) 22:40, 11 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Third airport in Istanbul

edit

Will cost USD 6.4 billion. Will have 6 pists. All (larger) planes will be able to land. Terminal will be 1 million m2. Total apron area: 6,488,459 m2. Parking lot: 25,140. First two phases will be completed by 2016 and 2017, respectively. The 3rd and 4th phases will take 2 years of realisation time each. The airport will be located near the Terkos lake. Not at all. --E4024 (talk) 23:44, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Images

edit

I will move the image of aircrats from Statistics category and I will add more some good pictures of airplanes at Ataturk airport on Airlines and destinations category. That will be nice.

Will it be possible for you to sign your posts and to place new topics at the end of talk pages? Besides this, I already told you in my talk page that Wikipedia is not a collection of fancy images. The accuracy of the project does not rely upon images, but on reliable sources. You have a lot to learn regarding this point, as per this edit, where you used a source that cites another one considered not reliable.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:17, 16 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Unsourced future destinations

edit

I will remove the entries introduced by this, this and this edit in a matter of a week unless proper sources are provided, as they do not conform with the verifability policy.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:45, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Done, as per WP:SILENT.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:23, 16 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Friedrichshafen and Turkish Airlines

edit

Turkish Airlines begins to fly Friedrichshafen in 4 May 2013. Please add Friedrichshafen as a Turkish Airlines destination. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.240.2.172 (talk) 14:32, 12 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Do you have a source backing up your claim?--Jetstreamer Talk 14:38, 12 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Already added with a reference.--Jetstreamer Talk 17:59, 12 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Turkish Airlines service to Constanta

edit

Constanta service has been officially announced by airline http://www.turkishairlines.com/en-int/corporate/news/22419/our-new-flights-ankara---frankfurt. Can someone please add? 68.119.73.36 (talk) 23:15, 24 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've reverted the two edits ([3], [4]) made by 212.178.247.98 (talk · contribs), as no references were provided. This is a violation of WP:VERIFY, which is a basic policy. I suggest the IP involved to re-add, but including a reliable source confirming the change.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:21, 14 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 19:19, 9 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Outdated--terminal 2

edit

It seems to me that the section about the new gates on the international terminal is outdated, because according to Google earth, they have been open since 2010, but the wording of the article implies that they are still under construction. Specific dates should be added to this part to make it clearer. Bajor9 (talk) 00:23, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Reverted statistics

edit

I have reverted the recent changes to the statistics for this airport because I couldn't verify them against the reference provided. The [linked page https://www.dhmi.gov.tr/sayfalar/istatistik.aspx] gave a table that is only complete until August, and doesn't provide year-end numbers. The page links to a spreadsheet named "Türkiye Geneli Havalimanları Uçak, Yolcu ve Yük Trafiği İstatistikleri ve Tahminleri", which gives numbers vastly different than the numbers added to the article. (The article was edited for 67,981,446 total passengers, but the spreadsheet gives 209,989,906 as "Yolcu Trafiği" for 2018, for examlpe.)

Are clearer references available? Is there some explanation for the discrepancy? -- Mikeblas (talk) 15:44, 11 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
