Interstate 271X
editJust a point of information: Per an ODOT document regarding a resurfacing project on the I-271 Express Lanes a few years ago that I saw on their website, the Express Lanes are identified as 271X to distinguish them from the local lanes. Unfortunately, the document was in a section of their site which is now only accessible by employees, so I can't see if there's a more recent one with the same reference, assuming that they removed the one in question long ago. (Most documents only refer to the Express/Local lanes as a single facility since it's in a single right-of-way.) Mapsax (talk) 01:13, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
271 widening
editSee this press release from July 31, 2013. Worth a mention in the article? If so, we could mention it on Interstate 480 (Ohio) as well, since the Cuyahoga stretch includes the entire 271/480 concurrency. (I assume that the Cuyahoga/Summit County line is the limit for both projects mentioned in what otherwise would seem to be one big project because that's also the border between ODOT District 12 and District 4.) New 271/480 divergence
editThe southern I-271/I-480 split is now north of the Broadway/SR-14 exit with 480/14 leaving the 271 right-of-way where it always has to the south (see the map service of your choice). I'm not sure how this can be reflected in the exit list. Mapsax (talk) 02:55, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Imzadi1979: Can you help with this? I'm not familiar with taking milepost measurements from ODOT's website. Cards84664 18:16, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- We can't really use ODOT's website yet since neither the straight-line diagrams nor (as far as I can tell) the DESTAPE files have been updated to reflect the new configuration. Most third-party mapping has been updated from a sample that I just took (Google and OpenStreetMap have the new configuration, though MapQuest still has the old), so those could probably be a stop-gap until ODOT updates (if I'm interpreting what's at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources#Google Maps correctly). For what it's worth, the project page is here, but unfortunately there's no project map there, which would help immensely. From the two photos that are currently on it, one can tell what's going on there, but I doubt that those can be used as RSs. Mapsax (talk) 21:11, 20 July 2021 (UTC) [Edit/add] Google Street View has been updated as of November at the north end so I suppose we can just use what's on the new signs, though I'm not sure how to treat the new slip ramps at the old 480/14 divergence south of Alexander Road especially since Street View hasn't been updated there.
