Sorry,try california. edit

Who comes up with this stuff? Why would this person below just say crap like that?Do you love your home town that much?I bet you went into every band site you like and wrote the same thing. Kinda lame don't you think? Not one single member from indian summer has ever lived in michigan or the mid west ever, and were certainly not from there. They are all california natives, even the original drummer. I know all of them, and lived with them way back when. All california all the time.sorry.Also,it's best to remember them the way you saw them play back then -very loose, hectic, and alot of crazy. When you saw Adam falling all over the place and forgetting to sing cuz he was too fucked up(sorry kids it's a fact),or them just totally improvising a whole set you were actually seeing one of the most beautiful disasters on the planet at the time. They didn't care. That's how it was, that's how they wanted it and i'm sure they dont want any confusion about who or what they were/are now.Just enjoy the music,if you can. That's all it was.Good old fashioned punk rock music. Long live the Kids!

Michigan, Hello? edit

These guys were originally from Michigan and moved out to California before their quits. A lot of us in the Midwest take a deal of pride in bands like this, Cap'N Jazz, and Boy's Life for their influence on indie music throughout the nineties. Whereas some may argue a title of "best band ever", it should be stressed how progressive and influential they were for thousands of musicians over the last fifteen years. Seriously.

Can we get a source on that? A zine, a website, anything? Not just for proof of that, I want to find out as much as I can about this band - it's so bizarre how there's pretty much nothing on the internet about them, and it makes me even more fascinated/amazed by them. 129.2.235.113 23:57, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I ordered the summer 1994 discography in 2005 from someone on ebay who claimed in the item description to be the former drummer. The album was shipped from Hawaii and the seller claimed a mere 1000 copies existed. I had no idea it was a new release at the time, I just snapped it up. Also, I am pretty sure they were originally from Michigan and relocated to Oakland in '91.

Dont delete it! edit

Indian summer is an amazingly good emo/screamo band and is very important to the history of the music especially in the 90s. Indian summer has more than 82000 plays on last.fm, more than many bands which have wikipedia articles. http://www.last.fm/music/Indian+Summer

It doesn't matter, the band meets none of the criteria for music pages.Hoponpop69 01:55, 15 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Has established a tradition or school in a particular genre." Indian Summer's influence is widely apparent in several bands who are also notable: City Of Caterpillar, Daitro, Suffocate For Fuck Sake, and Envy, for instance. I'd say that it certainly does meet that criteria. noohgodno 12:30, 17 March 2007 (EST)

dear god,i am so sick of morons nominating articles for deletion.its acctually an offense, people who probably never even listened to the band deleting them for stuiped reasons.wikiproject emo without indian summer is like a computer without a keyboard.

⚡⚡⚡ edit

On digital services like Spotify, the final track of giving birth to thunder is ⚡⚡⚡. On the label site, it's ???. If an admin could add the icons that'd be cool. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.193.29.227 (talk) 20:56, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
