Comments transferred from In the House - In a Heartbeat edit

The article seems to refer to two separate songs. "In the House - In a Heartbeat" is an instrumental track from 28 Days Later, while the guitar tablature and "28 Days Later theme" refer to a song by Godspeed You! Black Emperor called "East Hastings". 71.48.7.165 08:22, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, you're right. The song is "East Hastings by Godspeed You! Black Emperor off the album F#A# (infinity). It was edited for use in 28 Days Later. The article page should reflect this. 67.190.241.7 14:28, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I removed the line referring to the '28 Days Later theme', probably just someone a bit confused. I don't really think we need to link to guitar tabs anyway --Darksun 10:28, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gounod's Ave Maria edit

I think that Gounod's "ave maria" is played in the movie, but I'm not sure about it...Could someone verify this, since I don't possess the DVD i can't verify it myself ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.182.157.192 (talk) 15:07, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Use in TV edit

Would it be worth mentioning that 'in the house-in a heartbeat' is used as backing music for a lot of tv (in the uk at least)? Abergabe (talk) 17:44, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

This would lead to one of the dreaded "In popular culture" sections. In fact, a whole load of this stuff was removed a while back, because it was unsourced cruft and added little to the article. Here is what was axed.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 18:58, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hehe, no worries :) i was just thinking a generalised note rather than a list of specific examples but your right, probably a bad move :P Abergabe (talk) 19:26, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Arguably the best place where "In the House - In a Heartbeat" appears other than this film is the Uruguayan short Ataque de Pánico!. This caused a sensation on YouTube in late 2009, and it makes excellent use of the whole piece. It has also been used in umpteen TV trailers etc, but this is not really notable enough for a Wikipedia article.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 20:03, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

should the comment about In Paradisum be there because it is actually from Fauré's Requiem and is unlikely to have gained airplay from this particular version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.3.152.200 (talk) 19:51, 30 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

I believe the song in Kick-ass is NOT "In the House - In a Heartbeat". It's a very slightly different arrangement, and the gimmick melody is the same but the notes are played in a different order, so it is not really the same track.79.108.24.87 (talk) 02:53, 3 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reorder edit

I suggest to reorder this part as a verbatim list of the soundtrack and a separate Used as section. Theking2 (talk) 17:40, 24 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
