Fuck School

edit

Does anyone have any information about the fact that this song appears to have existed with different vocals as "Avicii feat. Nicky Romero - Fuck School" in February 2012? Catphish (talk) 22:46, 2 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Information about the 2 versions of the track can be found here: http://freshnewtracks.com/2012/12/29/avicii-nicky-romero/ Catphish (talk) 22:50, 2 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Music Video Mix?

edit

The music video of "I Could Be the One" is a different mix than any that have been commercially released so far. Does anyone know if this release will be made available soon or if it has already been released? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.91.235.100 (talk) 22:50, 2 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

This song has been a massive hit all over the world, the other song barely made the top 40 in Ireland and the UK. Unreal7 (talk) 19:44, 11 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose per WP:SONGDAB. Where there are two or more songs with the same name it correct and proper to disambiguate by the artists name. I daresay there are many other songs with the same title mentioned in WP, too. --Richhoncho (talk) 12:08, 12 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per WP:SONGDAB. Also 3rd song as redirect I Could Be the One (Marti Webb song). In ictu oculi (talk) 16:02, 12 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: (edit conflict, written before IIO confirmed what I suspected) This song is a very WP:RECENT release, and the article doesn't describe anything that would point to this song as having any special enduring significance, so it is not clear whether it will have any special status in terms of long-term notability. If someone looks around a little bit, I suspect we would already find other topics that are covered on Wikipedia that should also be included on the dab page. I generally believe that the names of artists should be included in the titles of articles about their songs and albums. That makes the titles more clear and recognizable, and avoids future maintenance headaches over whether to consider some particular song or album as primary. New releases often appear with the same names, and the popularity of music is volatile. WP:NCM supports this view. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:12, 12 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

– More than 5 years after its release (and prior to Avicii's death), target article was still crystal clear.[1] Unreal7 (talk) 22:21, 24 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

It would seem, however, that the same arguments which prevented this nomination from succeeding five years ago [Requested move, 11 October 2013, above] have not changed.    Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 18:34, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
The previous RM was from when the song had been released less than a year, thus the WP:RECENT arguments then. We now have an additional five years of experience to see that this article remains vastly more viewed than the others. 120 views/day is nothing to sneeze at, and shows the relatively greater enduring notability over the other article.
