- YOU WROTE: "This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion. The given reason is: it is an article about a company or corporation that does not assert the importance or significance of the subject."
- This page is neither about a company nor about a corporation. It is about a not-for-profit organisation, and the growing field of information-and-communication-technologies-for-development (or ICT4D).
- I am involved in writing about this field, including for the mainstream media, and am co-founder of BytesForAll [1] .
- You will find the comment on my "discuss" page saying, "Kudos for your last entries on Information and Communication Technologies for Development :) Ictlogist 11:05, 7 July 2006 (UTC)"
- I have been building up links to groups working in fields like ICT-for-development (which is one of my key areas of interest, apart from Indian non-fiction writers, and Goa/India) for many months now. You would find that many of the links on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Nonprofit_technology and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:ICT_and_development categories have been contributed by me.
- Just because the organisation comes from a Latin American or African or Asian context, does not mean it lacks "notability". This, as we have discussed at length on the Wikipedia mailing-list, should not be judged by the visibility of the English-language web alone.
In view of the reasons above, I with to contest your decision. Also please take a look at my contributions so far http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Fredericknoronha and also my attempt at encouraging others to contribute. --fredericknoronha 16:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Cookie cutter intro
editI have removed the cookie cutter intro describing them as a transnational alternative policy group. That was one researchers individual generic definition of what they call a transnational alternative policy group and was not a description of what this individual organisation actually is. duffbeerforme (talk) 04:59, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
