Airborne or Airmobile?

edit

I remember reading an article somewhere a while back that only members of the Brigade's Airmobile Artillery Squadron are parachute-qualified. In light of this, I recommend that this article be renamed to reflect the correct (and official) name of 71st Airmobile Infantry Brigade.Dragases (talk) 09:13, 18 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Certainly, go ahead... Constantine 21:43, 18 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Τhe brigade is known as "airmobile", never "airborne", so the whole title of the article must be changed. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do this! If someone with the necessary skills reads this comment, please make the change and remove all mentions of "airborne".
The distinction is important because the brigade trains to get into position by helicopters, not to jump out of planes with parachutes. As far as I know, conscript members of the brigade are not parachute trained. Also, parachute training is not just limited to people in this brigade; there are parachute-trained people all across the forces. By the way, their website is here: http://www.army.gr/structure/eg/dieuthinseis/71am/index_en.htmlNojamus (talk) 14:28, 18 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
