Glossary of manias-mania — This should never have been moved. The subject should be -mania, the English suffix. Irbisgreif (talk) 02:32, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
If it's about a bound morpheme then it needs to be deleted. If it's about a form of insanity/excess that doesn't necessarily end in 'mania' then you get to keep it. Them's the rules.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 15:25, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Note it's considered bad form to vote and propose.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 15:26, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
"It's considered bad form to vote and propose." Really? I would say the opposite. I've made some proposals I don't support and some I do. It's better to be clear. — AjaxSmack 15:34, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am not apposed to the move. At the beggining of 2009 the list was completely out of date so I have made a number of additions. I will be making more additions throughout 2010. If anyone wants to talk to me about this email me on SMargan@bigpond.net.au —Preceding unsigned comment added by SMargan (talkcontribs) 03:07, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Correction

edit

The definition of "dacnomania" is incorrect. I'm changing it. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/dacnomania

This wrong definition might have been a wrong translation from italian, "mordere", which means "to bite" instead of "to murder". --Monsieur.lefou (talk) 21:37, 17 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Is it a joke?

The term 'monomania' is listed twice. Well played Wikipedia. Well played. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.189.178.84 (talk) 23:48, 31 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: Moved to List of manias. No such user (talk) 13:15, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Glossary of maniasList of manias – I think this page better fits the definition of a list of manias, than it does what we normally think of as a glossary. List of manias is already a redirect, and very few pages link here currently, so swapping them over should be relatively painless. There was a move request a long time ago so I can't be sure this is uncontentious (note that even back then 'List of manias' was actually a common suggestion.) 'Pseudomania' leads to an external site, as opposed to wiktionary/dedicated page. 82.47.246.231 (talk) 00:43, 8 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
