If it's about a bound morpheme then it needs to be deleted. If it's about a form of insanity/excess that doesn't necessarily end in 'mania' then you get to keep it. Them's the rules.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 15:25, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

  Glossaries are lists anyway; lists of words with definitions. To be honest they sit very uncomfortably in an encyclopedia; they probably should all be moved to become appendixes in the Wiktionary.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 15:25, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

• Oppose. Per Wikipedia:Naming conventions, non-alphanumeric characters should be avoided, especially as the first character of a page name. More importantly, pages dedicated principally to the definition and dictionary-like explanation of suffixes are frequently brought up at AfD. I am not apposed to the move. At the beggining of 2009 the list was completely out of date so I have made a number of additions. I will be making more additions throughout 2010. Correction

The definition of "dacnomania" is incorrect. I'm changing it. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/dacnomania

This wrong definition might have been a wrong translation from italian, "mordere", which means "to bite" instead of "to murder". --Monsieur.lefou (talk) 21:37, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

Glossary of manias → List of manias – I think this page better fits the definition of a list of manias, than it does what we normally think of as a glossary. List of manias is already a redirect, and very few pages link here currently, so swapping them over should be relatively painless. There was a move request a long time ago so I can't be sure this is uncontentious (note that even back then 'List of manias' was actually a common suggestion.) JeffUK 17:44, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

  But it's not a very well structured glossary, the definitions of the words aren't even full sentences, whereas if they were in a list with an 'Obsession' column it would make a whole lot more sense. It's a bit of a catch-22, I can easily restructure it to a list, I think that would look a lot better to as per List_of_phobias; but while it's called 'Glossary' that would be strange. I suppose I could do this on List of manias now leaving this here to see which works best. JeffUK 22:22, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
