Article title
editHey, so this a weird situation. See, I recently submitted my own Global Road Entertainment draft to AfC and only just now found out that this page exists. I wouldn't mention it except that a)it seems to me that both the Open Road Films and Global Road Entertainment studio brandings are independently notable and could potentially make up separate articles, and b) it could maybe be argued that Global Road is its own thing since it's a merger of two companies and not just Open Road with a different name (for comparison, WarnerMedia, Time Inc., and Warner Communications all have their own articles even though the first one is a merger of the second two).
Because of this, I'd like to propose that we revert this page to Open Road Films and have Global Road as a separate page. Would that be okay?--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 23:57, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. A) They are not independently notable as Global Road's based on Open Road's as a mini-major. B) WarnerMedia (AOL/Time-Warner), Time, inc. and Warner Communications have a longer history - Open Road/Global Road only seven. C) It is a name change (rebranding) for the most part - Variety: "IM Global, Open Road Owner Tang Media Rebrands as Global Road Entertainment". Spshu (talk) 01:46, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Maybe instead I could incorporate the relevant parts of my draft into the existing article?--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 21:40, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Filmography
editShouldn't we add these to the Filmography?

- If reliable sources say that they produced those films, yes. There are some sources listed at WP:FILM/R. Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and other trade magazines sometimes announce these sorts of things. The AFI database is usually a good source, too. Founded
editA company is founded only once thus only one date should be in the founded ibox field. Changes in its name is handled by the "former_name" field. As it clearly indicates at that field that the company stop using the Open Road Films name in 2017. Spshu (talk) 17:56, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

The last paragraph in company history section contains a typo. Please change "Teh" to "The" in the sentence quoted below:
"Teh company was also looking to sell a number of its upcoming films" Papershoes~enwiki (talk) 16:12, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

- The article already reflects that the company filed for bankruptcy. Please, read the article before making a request. Given that Law.com is behind a subscription "wall", I cannot confirm the employee lawsuit. Spshu (talk) 13:09, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
