Photo?
editAnyone able to find a suitable usable image for Gavin Duffy? The only CC-by-SA photo I could find on flickr has a "no derivatives" clause, which I would take to mean no cropping. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 13:19, 19 September 2018 (UTC)

Gavin Duffy (businessman) → Gavin Duffy – Primary subject of that name (the only other Gavin Duffy article is a retired sportsman; the current Gavin Duffy (businessman) is a reality TV star and is a candidate in the Irish presidential election BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 13:34, 19 September 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. - This is a contested technical request (permalink). Hhkohh (talk) 13:40, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- This should definitely go to WP:RM considering this is a swap of primary topic, the sportsman occupying Gavin Duffy until today Galobtter (pingó mió) 13:39, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support - the businessman is currently reality TV star and candidate in the Irish presidential election, thus more notable than the sportsman, who has now retired. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 13:09, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
- Support Now he has the status of a Presidential Election candidate so I would agree with the above.Rebius (talk) 10:27, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

Additions to article
editI propose the following additions to this article -
Early life
editGavin Duffy was the youngest of three brothers and lived as a child in Sallins, Co Kildare, where his father Ned Duffy had pig farm. His mother Anne Duffy ran The Gem restaurant in Naas. He attended the local primary school St Laurences in Sallins. The family sold the farm after the outbreaks of swine fever in the early 1970s and moved to Drogheda, Co Louth where they bought a pub. He lived ‘above the shop’ on West Street, while attending St Josephs Secondary school. He later went to Newbridge College in Kildare where he did his Leaving Certificate.
Career
editHe set up Boyneside Radio in Drogheda when he left school and in 1989, he lead the consortium in the country's first licensed provincial local radio station, LMFM, which was sold to UTV in 2004 for about €10 million.
Personal life
editOver the last 20 years he has lived in Bellewstown, Co Meath, with his wife Orlaith Carmody and four children: Lorcan (24), Cormac (23), Cathal (22) and Aislinn (20).
Any comments? Rebius (talk) 11:14, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
- Your proposed changes to the 'Early life' and 'Career' section seem fine but would need references/sourcing. Leave ages of children out, as that doesn't stay current. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 14:30, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
