Planning move to Freedom From Fear: The American People in Depression and War, 1929–1945 edit

Per WP:SUBTITLE, When the most commonly used name is ambiguous, the full title and subtitle might be suitable to be used as a form of natural disambiguation; and Orlando: A Biography, not Orlando (novel), nor Orlando (book).

Currently, Freedom From Fear: The American People in Depression and War, 1929–1945 is a redirect to the somewhat awkward disambiguation Freedom from Fear (Kennedy book). I've posted here before making the move. I think this reasoning is sound and policy-based. Hydrangeans (she/her | talk | edits) 07:23, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Requested move 23 March 2024 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus that the subtitle would be more a WP:NATURAL form of disambiguation than the current parenthetical. (closed by non-admin page mover) ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 18:31, 1 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • Whoops! Capitalizing from the way I did was a pretty goofy mistake on my part. I've edited the move request to adhere to MOS:CT. Thanks for the link to the comparison; that's a really good example of a parallel situation. Hydrangeans (she/her | talk | edits) 01:56, 24 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Publication date edit

According to OUP, this was published on May 6, not May 1. Amazon agrees. Jmj713 (talk) 20:44, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've hedged the date as given in the article to May 1999 (including both possibilities). I admit I'm in general inclined to favor summarizing secondary sources as the most verifiable form of information. Hydrangeans (she/her | talk | edits) 21:02, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I believe the date from the publisher and Amazon is correct however. It couldn't have been May 1, 1999, as that was a Saturday. Jmj713 (talk) 23:22, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
