Not Fictional

edit

The Biplane carrying zeplin from Indiana Jones is not fiction.

Blimp launched biplanes were real, as were blimp retrieved biplanes.

Yes, but not all of the planes in Crimson Skies that can be launched from a zeppelin airship are biplanes. --Aerodotus 15:47, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hresvelgr Not an Air Carrier

edit

The Article states that "In Namco's Ace Combat Zero, the Hresvelgr is an airborne aircraft carrier and transport that also doubles as a massive bomber aircraft used by the Belkans."

This is partially true, the Hresvelgr IS a Massive bomber aircraft (And it is speculated to have reflectors to increase the range of Excalibur, a laser superweapon from the same game) but there is no evidence of it ever carrying any aircraft.

The only thing that came close to an Air Carrier from the Ace Combat series would be the Arkbird from Ace Combat 5 which does launch several UAV's.

Carrier (Starcraft)

edit

Wouldn't the Protoss Carrier on starcraft be a fictional Air based Carrier? Granted it is a space/atmospereic craft, it carries smaller interceptors. With the realese of starcraft 2 the Protoss Tempest, which works in much the same way as a carrier, would also be a fictional carrier. Dagorlad 3 02:53, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Skycapwot.jpg

edit

Image:Skycapwot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sky Captain

edit

Edited the line about the Mobile Airstrips in sky captain which said they were like zepellins. Anyone who's seen the film (and the picture in the article!) can testify this is not true. 86.153.102.136 (talk) 15:33, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merge

edit

Rather then putting out an AfD, I am merging the entries that have its own article to List of fictional vehicles#Airborne aircraft carriers, why? Because the unreferenced tag have stood there and nothing have been done since. Donnie Park (talk) 13:29, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
