– It having an "adult male" name already signifies it is the men's team. (If a women's team would be created, it would be at UST Tigresses basketball, for example.) Howard the Duck (talk) 21:53, 25 August 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 15:48, 2 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • I'm going to reject the basis that any of "Tamaraws, Knights or Tigers" are gendered terms and I have a feeling that others would as well, though noting that UST does use the name "Tigresses" itself. That said, unless there is a suitable women's team that may need to be disambiguated for each entry, there is no need to specify "men's" anyways, so I support this. It looks like CSJL would use "Lady Knights" and I didn't notice a convention being used for Far Eastern, so barring any missing info on them, that might be the only one which may eventually need disambiguation beyond its actual title. Asukite, most college sports teams prefix "Lady" to the "male" name. Hence, as you've said Letran Knights become "Letran Lady Knights" (should've went with "Dame Commanders") and the "FEU Tamaraws" become the "FEU Lady Tamaraws". Check out UAAP Season 82 basketball tournaments#Women's tournament.
Again, there are exceptions, as "UST Growling Tigers" becoming the "UST Tigresses" and the San Beda Red Lions becoming the "San Beda Red Lionesses". All Ateneo Blue Eagles teams regardless of gender are now called that way. Women's basketball is in a far lower profile than the flagship men's basketball tournaments, so there aren't any women's basketball articles (although there are women's soccer and volleyball team articles, and their naming convention is slightly different), but if women's basketball team articles are to be created, supposedly their names should be, following the logic here, will be "FEU Lady Tamaraws basketball", "Letran Lady Knights basketball", and "UST Tigresses basketball".
