Statue of Darius edit

The fourth and fifth paragraphs in the intro are very similar.
"The statue was made in Egypt from grey granite, but was then transported to Susa, possibly by Xerxes I.
The statue is of grey granite that chemical analysis has indicated comes from the Wadi Hammamat in eastern Egypt. It was made in Egypt and later brought to Susa possibly in the reign of Xerxes."
Maybe combine both into one sentence, as follows?
"The statue was made in Egypt of grey granite that chemical analysis has indicated comes from the Wadi Hammamat in eastern Egypt, and was then transported to Susa, possibly by Xerxes I."

Statue of Darius edit

I think it could be important to include some more historical context including the possible intentional destruction of the statue as mentioned in a few different sources such as this [1] article on JSTOR. Madrugada11 (talk) 07:01, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
