• Spelling conventions - I won't make an issue of this, but English spelling in African countries invariably follows British usage. US spellings like gray and meter seem odd

As an American, I write in American English. This is the grammer and spelling style that I am comfortable with, and if I try to write British English, I'll invariably make some (many) mistakes and the article will be a mixture of the two conventions.

• made primarily of African Juniper I think you mean consisting. Why is jumiper capitalised, but not box-tree?

• Cercle de what does this mean in this context?

I believe that the entire phrase is a specific fort. Wikipedia does not have an article on the fort, but they do for the city, so I wikilinked that. Should I dewikilink or put a clause explaining it is a fort next to it?

• However, the species why however?

I put the however in to change up the sentance structure a bit and highlight how it differs from the rest of the head. I went ahead and changed it.

All good- two minor tweaks, and I seem to use however unhealthfully often.

• References I've fixed a few format errors and redirected hall to the PDF. At FA, everything needs to be referenced. Not important for GA, but I've had Marshall Cavendish queried as a reliable source.
• Images licences OK
• Map Map will do for GA, but I would add a legend to say it's showing Djibouti, not the bird's range. A map of Djibouti showing the range would be better, there are three possibly suitable maps in Geography of Djibouti

Already has a caption. Do you know anyone who does maps?

• Cercle - I'd put ...Cercle de Tadjoura fort in the Forêt du Day since I didn't know what it was and the link didn't tell me

Good thing I googled it. I turns out that Cercle de Tadjoura is a synonym for the entire city. I removed the Cercle de to simplify.

I can ref sites like BirdLife or Clements that do not use these generic names. Can I cite the absence of something like this?

I'll sign this off when you've had a chance to review the changes made/suggested. If you are thinking of FA, the prose will need to be tighter, and it may need to be translated into Brit Eng (at least one prominent reviewer will oppose if "wrong" convention used). Thank you again for going through this article. I think I might have a go at a FAC for this. I believe this article is the best reference for the bird on the internet. Do you think that the small Ecology section would hold it up or would the reviewers realize that not a lot of research has been done on this species? Also, would you mind translating it if you think it will be a problem? I'm gone to Virginia this weekend, so the earliest I would nominate it would be Tuesday. Thank you.
