GA Reassessment

Article (edit | visual edit | history) · Article talk (edit | history) · Watch
I am nominating this article for a reassessment because I feel there are still some issues with the article. The prose is not clear, references are not correctly formatted and others. I reviewed the article in the first place, but now feel it needs reassessment. Thank you. Novice7 | Talk 06:40, 2 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The second sentence is not clear and is confusing. Many instances of poor language "Although only officially released in the US, the song appeared on the charts in Australia".   Done Jivesh Talk2Me 16:14, 2 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The second paragraph of Background and release contains a lot of confusing sentences squeezed together. What I found:

  • There are many similarities between Knowles' "Diva" and the song "A Milli" by Lil Wayne, mainly because both tracks are produced by Bangladesh. How can i fix that?
Adabow fixed it. Novice7 | Talk
  • In an interview with MySpace, Knowles was asked whether she agreed that "Diva" is a woman's equivalent to "A Milli". She replied "It is, in a way....it wasn't consciously."[14] Consequently, the song became to be known as the feminine companion to Lil Wayne's A Milli How can i fix that?
Just correct the "She replied" part. Maybe merge it with the previous sentence?? Novice7 | Talk
Some references still lack "cite web", "cite news" templates. Novice7 | Talk

I do not really understand. Can you cite one? Please. Jivesh Talk2Me 08:21, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

-Background and release-
  • The first three sentences of Background seem sloppy and poor to me. Example: Meanwhile, he showed it to American R&B singer Keyshia Cole, who liked the beat of the song, however did not like everything on the record. Later, Cole said she was going to sing the song, however, this time Knowles also wanted the track.   Done Jivesh Talk2Me 17:43, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Why is there a vertical bar after December 2008 that?   Done Jivesh Talk2Me 17:43, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Again, ho was at that particular time working on her third studio album, Fantasy Ride, had remixed "Diva". The remix was supposed to be featured on her Fantasy Ride Mixtape - bad.   Done Jivesh Talk2Me 17:43, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Rewrite second para first sentence.   Done Jivesh Talk2Me 17:43, 5 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • However, its release was scrapped, and on January 20, 2009, "Diva" was released instead to urban radio[5] while "Halo" was sent for mainstream airplay on the same date.[6] On the same date, "Diva" was sent to rhythmic radio alone. – confusing.
  • Why mention so much about Ego and Halo? Yes, it is needed because it shows the integral concept of the album, that is releasing one Single from "I Am..." and the other form "Sasha".
