Move proposal

edit

This article was recently moved from "London Hughes" to Dionne 'London' Hughes". Adding nicknames into the article title is not usual practice, particularly when none of the sources refer to her literally as "Dionne 'London' Hughes" and there is no issue of disambiguation. I propose the article is moved back on the basis that the title is now misleading, the lead text makes it clear what her potential alternative names are, there is no need to list them oddly in the page title. Move proposal again

edit

Although it appears that her management changed the article to say "London Hughes" instead of "Dionne Hughes", I believe that the article should be called London Hughes as per WP:STAGENAME. I therefore propose that this article be moved to London Hughes and Dionne Hughes becomes a redirect. (Note, London Hughes currently redirects to the Dionne Hughes article) Periglio (talk) 11:51, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Dionne Hughes. Please take a moment to review my edit. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

Move proposal yet again

edit

In an interview with the British Comedy Guide, London Hughes makes reference to the fact that London Hughes is her actual legal name, and it says so on her driving licence. Given this I would argue that this article should be moved. ISD (talk) 13:38, 2 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dionne HughesLondon Hughes – London Hughes is this person's legal name, as described in this interview with the British Comedy Guide. As her birthname has now legally changed, Wikipedia should acknowledge that she now prefers to be known as London Hughes rather than Dionne Hughes. ISD (talk) 13:29, 9 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

According to a June 2021 article London Hughes and Robin Thede are named to be main cast members on the Perfect Strangers reboot for HBO Max. 73.71.164.202 (talk) 05:05, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

(New sections go at the bottom of the page, by the way.) Thanks for this comment—I've added it to the article with a couple more sources too. In future, you can add this information directly yourself, as long as there's a reliable source (like the Hollywood Reporter link you gave). Don't worry about formatting it properly too much, as another volunteer can fix that easily. — Bilorv (talk) 09:20, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
