Updated numbers/dates for existing sentences

Hello,

There are a number of elements on this page that should be updated to maintain accuracy. I believe these updates are simple, uncontroversial, and they are supported by accurate sources. Hoping you agree! I plan to request edits using the Edit Wizard on 12/6/23.

They are as follows…

In the “Company” section, “over 500 employees” should be updated to say “over 600 employees” according to the About Us page on the company’s website.

In the “Business model” section, “As of November 2017, they had vehicle fit information on over 25,000 vehicles.” should be updated to say, “As of December 2023, they had vehicle fit information on over 28,000 vehicles.” according to the About Us page on the company’s website.

In the “Awards and recognition” section, “As of April 2018, Crutchfield was the only internet retailer to have won BizRate Insight’s Platinum Circle of Excellence Award eighteen years in a row.” should be “As of December 2023, Crutchfield was the only internet retailer to have won BizRate Insight’s Platinum Circle of Excellence Award twenty-three years in a row.” according to BizRate’s website.

Updated nomenclature for existing sentences

Hello,

Like the topic I introduced above, there are a number of elements on this page that should be updated to maintain accuracy. I believe these updates are simple, uncontroversial, and they are supported by accurate sources. Hoping you agree! I plan to request edits using the Edit Wizard on 12/6/23.

They are as follows…

In the “Company” and “Business model” sections, “Outfit My Car” should be “vehicle selector” according to the company’s website. They retired usage of the Outfit My Car terminology.

In the “Business model” section, “The Vehicle Research department also provides the information needed for Crutchfield to produce MasterSheets, which are instruction sheets for installing car stereo products in specific vehicles.” should be “The Vehicle Research department also provides the information needed for Crutchfield to produce custom vehicle instructions for installing car stereo and speaker products in specific vehicles.” according to the company’s website. They retired usage of the MasterSheets terminology, and the custom vehicle instructions extend to car speaker installation.

It appears that you removed all of the content in the "Business Model" section based on the reason above. I see that all of the sources there were from crutchfield.com, which makes sense. However, couldn't the content have stayed and there have been a request for new sources, rather than total deletion?

Also, it appears that you deleted this content below from the "Awards and recognition" section based on the reason above. However, the citations were from non-Crutchfield, 3rd party sources. Shouldn't they be restored, given the reason above?

The logo on the Crutchfield Corporation page and this page should be replaced by this logo, available from the company’s website.

• What I think should be changed: I've summarized my requested edits on the Talk page in the following topics: "Updated numbers/dates for existing sentences", "Updated nomenclature for existing sentences", and "Logo update".
• Why it should be changed: The current information on the page is outdated and should be updated for accuracy.
• References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): I've cited the references for each request in the topics on the Talk page. I don't think the requests will be very labor intensive and I'd truly appreciate the help of an expert editor.
