This article began as a close copy of [1] and remained an unusable unauthorized derivative work of that source. For an example of close paraphrasing, consider the following:

...direct a chapter of the multi-story feature film BEFORE THE RAIN, a coproduction between two of Australia’s most prestigious film and drama institutions, The National Institue of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). The film was produced as part of NIDA’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

The article said:

He directed the first chapter of the multi-story feature film Before The Rain, in 2009. Before The Rain was a co-production between two of Australia’s most prestigious drama and film institutions, The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). The film was produced as part of NIDA’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

There were other passages that similarly followed too closely.

While facts are not copyrightable, creative elements of presentation - including both structure and language - are. So that it will not constitute a derivative work, this article has been revised. The essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing contains some suggestions for rewriting that may help avoid these issues. The article Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches, while about plagiarism rather than copyright concerns, also contains some suggestions for reusing material from sources that may be helpful, beginning under "Avoiding plagiarism".
