Good Article nomination edit

This is one of the easiest nominations I've had to review lately, sterling work. I did some minor editing, but the prose is up to GA standards, your citation use exceeds GA, and it's most definitely broad in coverage. I would suggest a couple things though. It seems to me that the best way to state the obvious in the first sentence is to refer to why the bird is called the cattle egret, rather than talk about its range (since it's so large as to be meaningless in its impact on the bird's characteristics, and the fact that it has expanded merits a more detailed explanation than a first sentence should provide). Last, it seems very odd to me that Status should be a tiny, near-redundant section in Relationship with humans, when your other important range and status info is in Distribution and habitat. Just some thoughts. Congrats on your wonderful work (once again), and I'll see you at FAC! VanTucky 03:24, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think the shift of status to the last subsection of distribution and habitat is a good one, waiting for Jim's input as he has led the charge on this one. Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 04:11, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, what else to do? Does anyone know the hindi name of the bird? May be interesting in etymology I guess. We can also espand the bird-borne diseases - links with Newcastle Disease and the other one. Any other ideas?Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 04:16, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
The Newcastle thing made me wonder about bird flu. I'm currently working on chickens right now. If chickens can catch both flu and Newcastle from wild birds, and this one is thought to spread Newcastle, then flu is logically a possibility. VanTucky 04:19, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Although Cattle Egret is an possible potential vector for H5N2, I couldn't find anything definite and this NY Times page, although old and non-scientific, supports that Jimfbleak (talk) 06:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Re Hindi, not keen on making this multilingual dictionary (Arabic could go too, even though I reffed it. Jimfbleak (talk) 06:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
