@Lokys dar Vienas: I want to discuss your revert of my edit, in which your edit summary was 'ill links allowed in daab pages if notable objects'.

There is no specific ruling on this in Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages, but that does not mean that they are desirable. The lead pagagraph says disambiguation pages help readers find the specific article they want when there is topic ambiguity, and I interpret this as referring to an English language article.

MOS:DABBLUE specifies:

• Include exactly one navigable (blue) link to efficiently guide readers to the most relevant article for that use of the ambiguous term. Do not wikilink any other words in the line.

My view is that ill links should sometimes be allowed in disambiguation entries, but they should be treated as red links. You can't have it both ways: if ill links are blue links then this entry has two blue links:

• Castle Mound (Lithuania), part of the Kernavė Mounds complex, Lithuania

...but if ill links are red links then this entry has no relevant blue links:

• Gediminas Mound a.k.a. Castle Mound (Lithuanian: Pilies kalnas), Lithuania

I am also concerned whether these Lithuanian mounds are referred to in English language sources as "Castle Mound", or if this is simply a translation of Pilies kalnas. We should not disambiguate translations.

However, our main focus should be on improving the content and usability of Wikipedia, not on nit-picking in the Manual of Style. A Wikipedia reader may be looking for information on Castle Mound in Vilnius, and we should direct them to the best English language article for this. The best article appears to be Vilnius Castle Complex, where the mound is located. However, that article does not mention "Castle Mound", so MOS:DABMENTION precludes us from linking to it. The solution is to add this to Vilnius Castle Complex#History of the Upper Castle, like this:

• One part of the castle complex, which was built on a hilltop, is known as the Upper Castle. The hill on which it is built is known as Gediminas Hill or Castle Mound, 40–48 meters (130–160 ft) in height and around 160 meters (170 yards) in length.

Add a source if you have one. All content in Wikipedia should be reliably sourced, but I am not an absolutist, and the article is probably being watched by other editors who may know if the statment is wrong.

I will not make this change because I don't know whether it is accurate. If you are confident then please make this change, or a similar change to another related article, and add the entry as the 'one blue link' in the disambiguation entry.
