Buffy Williams

edit

Shouldn't this page be called Buffy Williams (politician)? That's clearly the WP:COMMONNAME she'd known by, much to the delight of all the news outlets and their punny headlines. Sionk (talk) 12:35, 12 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I've created a redirect. She stood as Elizabeth Williams so many reports of her election to the Senedd called her this. Sionk (talk) 12:35, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Buffy Williams (politician)Buffy Williams – At present "Buffy Williams" is a redirect to Buffy-Lynne Williams, a Canadian rower. I suggest the Welsh politician is the primary topic, we can still have a hatnote pointing to the rower. With the politician, this is her actual name used by the title. The rower's article is rather short and may not expand much since she has retired. The rower only took her present name when she married after she retired, during her rowing career she was known as Buffy Alexander. PatGallacher (talk) 17:00, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
