Accessibility to space

edit

There's a statement in the lead "New Shepard allows Blue Origin to significantly reduce the cost of space tourism, making the experience more accessible to the general public" (also appears in Blue Origin.) There is some discussion of costs and ticket prices later in the article but no real support for this statement. This is a comparative statement so raises the questions: "reduced cost" and "more accessible" compared to what?

Later in the article we read that "Up to late June 2022 (after the fifth crewed flight Blue Origin NS-21), Blue Origin has generated more than $100 million from the New Shepard space tourism program." If all seats were filled with paying passengers that would be 30 tickets at an average of >US$3 million each.

Landing Ellipses

edit

How much have the footprints shrunk over time? I'd like to include a couple for purposes of comparison on List of landing ellipses on extraterrestrial bodies. Thx. kencf0618 (talk) 03:19, 24 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
