– Per WP:NATURALDIS. The discussion here remains open, but there seems to be a general preference for the "Statue of XXX" format over the "subject (location)" format. These articles about specific statues require disambiguation by location because there are Wikipedia articles about other statues of these individuals. Moving would also make these articles consistent with Statue of Louis Agassiz, which is also about a statue on the Stanford campus, but does not require further disambiguation by location because there are no other Wikipedia articles about statues of Agassiz. --Another Believer (Talk) 01:09, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose and suggest "Benjamin Franklin statue (Stanford University)" instead, per brevity, common name, and common sense titling. Randy Kryn (talk) 02:52, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment. If these are moved, Gutenberg will not need any qualifier. Like Statue of Louis Agassiz, there is no other article titled Statue of Johannes Gutenberg. All 4 of these articles should probably be merged. Station1 (talk) 05:28, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • If the articles are merged, there will be no need for a move. The four titles will simply be redirects to the combined article. And the new Strasbourg article could then be moved to Statue of Johannes Gutenberg, with a hatnote of course, at least until additional articles are written. - Station1 (talk) 19:07, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Support move, but I would also prefer a merger of all four articles into Main Quad (Stanford University). Individual works of architectural sculpture don't usually need articles – Wikidata items, yes (and the ones for these sculptures need a bit of attention); Commons categories, quite possibly, but articles in an encyclopaedia? No. Ham II (talk) 07:13, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, as we seem to have pretty much decided this is the preferred terminology. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:03, 7 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Support as proposed. These since to have been recent consensus on the way to go. Consider a merge proposal separately, and the proposed names will be good redirects to sections if that's done. Dicklyon (talk) 23:35, 11 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
