I made some changes to the page. I don't know much about his career, so I've based it off the French league stats website. If anybody follows St. Etienne or has followed his career closely, then please edit accordingly. I don't know if the speculation parts are relevant and I'm not a very good editor, so feel free to make changes and whatever.Bathory (talk) 16:27, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

International Goals Table

edit

I think there's something wrong with this table:

Bafétimbi Gomis: International Goals
# Date Venue Opponent Score Result Competition
1. May 27, 2008 Stade des Alpes, Grenoble, France   Ecuador 1–0 2–0 Friendly
2. May 27, 2008 Stade des Alpes, Grenoble, France   Ecuador 2–0 2–0 Friendly

So there was 2 different matches with two different results, however, they occured on the same day, on the same stadium and against the same team? I dont think this is possible. Modi mode (talk) 06:51, 29 December 2008 (UT

League Goal Tally 2010-2011 38 goals in 39 appearances. Surely a mistake

Suggestion that there was a plan for him to partner Wilfried Bony at Swansea is not only lacking a citation to back it up, but is also highly unlikley seeing as Swansea have consistently only played with a lone stricker for a number of years.

Removing league played in from the lead section

edit

There was a recent discussion at User talk:TeaLover1996, now archived at User talk:TeaLover1996/Archive 16#"consensus is to not display club at beginning", which failed to demonstrate the existence of any consensus to omit, let alone remove, the league played in from the lead section of footballer bios. I won't go through it all again, because links to relevant previous discussions at WT:FOOTY are already in that archive.

The article has been stable with the "Premier League club" wording since the player first joined Swansea. Replacing "Premier League" with "Welsh" isn't helpful to the reader, because it implies that the player is playing in a Welsh competition, and he isn't, he's playing in an English competition which occasionally includes Welsh clubs. But removing it entirely is doubly unhelpful. Struway2 (talk) 15:41, 12 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
