Route Table

edit

Will the editor who keeps reverting my standardisation of the route table please give reasons why, rather than repeatedly revert. The standardised route table is in use at articles such as: Arriva Southend, Arriva Southern Counties, Cavendish Motor Services, Cuckmere Community Bus, First Aberdeen, First Cymru, First Stop Travel, First York, Go West Midlands, Halton Transport, List of National Express Coventry bus routes, List of National Express West Midlands bus routes, Renown Coaches, Stagecoach Merseyside, Travel De Courcey, Uno (bus company) and Warrington Borough Transport. Might I also ask you to read WP:OWN Jenuk1985 | Talk 21:34, 28 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Have to agree. It keeps being reverted with no explaination or disscussion. Arriva436talk/contribs 17:41, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Snleicester appears to be the same person as the IP address who keeps reverting, despite their claims to be different. An admin is aware of the situation! Jenuk1985 | Talk 17:43, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Leave it as a standardiesd table but with some alterations! Snleicester (talk) 18:44, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Considering until 8 September 2008 we had this amazingly complicated route table (which had been there since 3 May 2007 - over a year), it seems strange that the new one has been called "not clear". Arriva436talk/contribs 19:47, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

the route table i recently added all the route branding to is as arriva run it ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Snleicester (talkcontribs) 21:34, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank goodness that has all ended! Arriva436talk/contribs 21:57, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Its a shame, as I feel that the user did have some useful contributions to make if given time and if he/she didn't opt to enter into inappropriate edit wars! But sadly it got to a point where the block was inevitable! Jenuk1985 | Talk 22:01, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
The loss of any editor is unfortunate, and I'm sure they did have some useful things to say. But when that sort of things happens, as you say, a block is inevitable. It was all happening faster than I could revert! The article history or Arriva FC and FL looks terrible now as well. Arriva436talk/contribs 22:20, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Think of it as a fresh beginning for the article now, think of it as an incentive to improve the article, to at least get the current history onto the 2nd page. Midlandred.net has various bits of useful info that could be applied to this article, if someone wants to play before I get round to it, feel free! Jenuk1985 | Talk 22:29, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have made some alterations to the table to make it look better while keeping the standardised route table, so if anyone wants to rearrange it again please do so. Thanks Msalmon (talk) 13:15, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Looks good to me! Arriva436talk/contribs 18:33, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, just making it easier to read without anymore changes Msalmon (talk) 19:44, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have just found out that Kinchbus are taking over the Skylink to EMA and will serve the A6 through Birstall not New Parks Way or A50. See here for info [1].
thank you for this information will there need to be a link to the page you posted onto the talk page onto the article page ? stewiewispa (talk) 21:54, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
No MSalmon (talk) 21:56, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Is the 1st of April 2009 the actual date for kinchbus taking over skylink leicester in the middle of the week ? as it would be a bit odd ? Don't you think ? Leicester1991 (talk) 23:23, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
the 1st of april is on a wednesday so the SKYLINK leicester service should swop over on a sundays or is it a bit odd that it will change route & operator in the MIDDLE of the week ? Fatman09 (talk) 19:43, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes the Skylink ends on the 31st March and Kinchbus take it over on the 1st April. MSalmon (talk) 20:01, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

From what I have heard, yes the Southgates Bus Depot will close (no date confirmed yet) and work being re-distributed to other depots. See [2] for more information MSalmon (talk) 17:16, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Article name change

edit

I am suggesting that this article should be moved to Arriva Leicester because Arriva Fox County is no longer used for services in Leicester or Leicestershire by Arriva on timetables and their website has all Leicester services under the midlands section and the legal name registered with VOSA and displayed on the side of buses is Arriva Midlands .LTD, I have also created an article for Arriva Derby which needs some work doing to it if anyone could help. Mkt Harborough Service 44

edit

As of 13 February 2012, there is a temporary arrangement with Leicestershire County Council to operate Route 44 between Fleckney and Foxton via Kibworth & Market Harborough (previously run by Coachcare). This is only a temporary arrangement until 25 March 2012 when Centrebus will take over the service fully. --MSalmon (talk) 22:36, 15 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
