Redirecting edit
After one look at the What links here section, I fully believe that the page known as Alderaan should automatcally redirect to the fictional planet page, and not have a manual link at the top. Almost all the pages, if not all the pages, link to the planet, not the "disused name for [...] two pairs of stars." --Aeolien 01:07, 2005 Jun 3 (UTC)

Use in Star Wars edit
I put this here because it's clearly OR, but may develop. Maybe an article about the re-using of mythology in Star Wars and maybe other Science Fiction films or Hollywood films in general? Or about the post-modernity in mainstream fiction in general? At any rate, needs sources. —AldeBaer (c) 12:08, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- This name was re-used in Star Wars. This may not be the only Star Wars name that was taken from an obsolete real star name; the Star Wars character name Jabba the Hutt looks suspiciously close to Arabic jabhat al ħūţ = "the forehead of the fish", which is a suitable name for the star ε Piscis Austrini when considered in terms of the old pictorial constellations.
Delete? edit
Since the entry states it to be an "unused name" -- and I have never heard it used -- why does Wikipedia even have an entry. I vote to Delete. Skeptic2 (talk) 01:03, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
